Demand Deposits

Demand deposits are savings accounts that provide customers with access to their funds on demand. Our Bank accepts deposits in Australian dollars (AUD), Hong Kong dollars (HKD) and United States dollars (USD). Customers may access their account using either a passbook or a debit card.

Key features:

• Customers may select either a free passbook or debit card.

• A daily withdrawal limit of up to AUD20, 000 over the counter is provided free of charge.

• Free direct debit and direct credit services.

• No fees apply to withdrawals using Bank of China’s ATMs.

• Ten free withdrawals a month when using other banks’ ATMs or using EFTPOS facilities.

• Account keeping fees will be charged when the monthly average balance in your account falls below the initial minimum deposit.

• Interest is calculated on your daily balance in accordance with the applicable tiered interest rate, and is credited to your account semi-annually in April and October.
